| 抄録(和) | 視覚探索では処理対象の効率的な選択が必要となるが,探索方略に対しては入力された情報によるボトムアップ過程だけでなく,視覚世界についての事前知識によるトップダウン過程も影響を与える。事前知識は,それが有効ではなくなり,探索対象についての予測力を失ってもなお,探索方略に影響を与え続けることがあるが,どのような経験によって強力で持続的な事前知識が獲得されるのか,という点は明らかではない。本研究では変化の見落とし現象を用いて,「発見」経験の反復により獲得された事前知識が,その後の探索方略に与える影響を検討した。同一の画像で同一の位置に変化が生じる刺激を呈示して複数回の変化検出課題を行った(学習試行)後に,学習試行と同一の画像だが毎回異なる位置に変化が生じる刺激を呈示して変化検出課題を行い(テスト試行),変化検出課題中の眼球運動を測定した。その結果,学習試行中は変化位置を見る割合が急速に高くなり,変化の発見経験は事前知識として容易に獲得された。テスト試行では,学習試行直後は学習試行の変化位置を見る割合が高く事前知識が探索方略に影響を与えていた。しかし2度目以降のテスト試行では学習試行の変化位置を見る割合は直ちに減衰し,「発見」経験の反復により得られた事前知識は,その有効性が棄却されるとともに利用されなくなることが示唆された。これらの結果から,事前知識の獲得過程とその効果の強さや持続性の関係について議論する。 |
| 抄録(英) | Not only visual inputs but also prior knowledge about the external world affect the search strategy for the changes occuring in the visual world. The effect of piror knowledge on search strategy is known to persist even when the observers are aware the futility of the prior knowledge. However, it is unclear what kind of experience is necessary for constructing such powerful effect of prior knowledge. In the present study, we investigated how the repetition of experience of detection affects the following search strategy. In the learning session, the subjects repeatedly performed a change detenction task for the same images and the same change location. In the following test session, the subjects performed the same task for the same images but the different change locations. We recorded the eye movement during search task and measured how long the subjects looked at where the experience of detection occurred in the learning session. As a result, in the test trial immediately after the learning trial, the subjects looked longer at the location where the change occured in the learning session. In the follwoing test session, however, this effect did not last but decayed. These results suggest that the repetition of the experience of detection is insufficient for acquiring a powerful prior knowledge. |
