Abstract(in English) We have developed a lunar surface navigation system that uses augmented reality technology, and performed a demonstration exhibition of the system at National Museum of Nature and Science. The Moon is one of the most familiar objects in astronomy, and can be appropriate matter in science education. The Apollo program is an exciting topic, and the exhibition will attract many visitors. Although a multimedia exhibition increases at museums, we cannot suppose that all visitors are good at using computers. Augmented reality superimposes virtual objects over the real scene, which gives us intuitive interface by manipulating the virtual objects with the corresponding physical plate. In the system, a user navigates the lunar surface area that the Apollo 17 mission explored. We performed a demonstration exhibition at National Museum of Nature and Science, and obtained subjective evaluation from the visitors. The results showed that the system satisfied them in terms of pleasure and interest, and the system stability and plain content are required.
