| 抄録(英) | There are many researches and commercial products to help the blind walk. For example, there is an obstacle avoidance sensor or navigation system for a walker. Most of those devices use speech sound to inform the blind of the information such as distance and direction. For instance, a device tells the blind that they should turn right 3 meters in front of them. However, you can easily imagine you will not be able to understand the distance if you hear the distance by speech sound. We hypothesized that the blind would be able to grasp distances if the information was presented to them in the proper way, on the basis of psychological cognition. In this paper, we proposed a method of presenting distance information via speech sound. And, we conducted a preliminary experiment. |
