Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have conducted a study on autonomous inter-Base Station network as a part of Cognitive Radio research & development, and have developed the experimental communication equipment. We have been conducting the field trial using these facilities. Herein, regarding the radio communication experiment, we introduce its objective and contents, outline of the communication facilities, location and schedule of the trial, and application example to the disaster relief. The Base Stations, called "type-a" and "type-b", facilitate the experimental emission of the radio waves such as IEEE 802.16e, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11j and EV-DO, those have the capability of Cognitive Radio operation. The field test, starting as a preliminary one, has been ongoing in Yokosuka Research Park (YRP) and its outcomes are to be reported in Feb. 2008.
