| Abstract(in English) | The goal of Cognitive Wireless Clouds (CWC) architecture framework is to realize the cognitive radio based wireless communication based on currently existing networks. The CWC makes it possible to utilize spectrum efficiently while enabling user-centric operations. In CWC architecture, the Cognitive Network Manager (CNM) manages information about resources and network status, generates advisory information based on current circumstances and helps the terminals to make decisions on spectrum access by providing regulatory and advisory information. Since CWC target is large scale heterogeneous networks, which include large amount of networks and terminals, the CNM has to operate with a huge amount of information and this information may change dynamically. This paper describes a distributed architecture for CNM to increase its scalability, and describes technical challenges of this architecture. This paper also introduces requirements on functions, interfaces, and information model to support distributed operation of CNM. |
