| Abstract(in English) | Organizational performance is in part determined by whether technical advice is effectively done or not. For a first experiment, I have organized a survey targeting at software development team members at one of the largest Japanese SI-firms and ask, (1) How is the current status of technical advice?, and (2) What are encouraging or discouraging factors for technical advice? The analysis reveals that the most determinant factor for technical advice is technical expertise of the members, but compensative or incentive factors for those activities are not important. Trust with members encourages asking for advice. Also, I find that reciprocity for technical advice is more important outside the team than inside the team. |
