Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For the production of relay programs in broadcasting stations and for use in various types of contents production, we propose a multi channel IP-based audio transmission system with automatic phase adjustment, which shifts the output timing between audio signals to prevent opposite phase cancellation. We aim to automate this operation, which is currently performed manually by an audio engineer in the broadcasting station during mixing. We use cross-power spectrum phase (CSP) analysis, which is a talker localization method, for this phase adjustment. Using CSP analysis, we devised a method of calculating the amount of output timing shift with less processing and installed this basic function in a general-purpose personal computer. The evaluation results should lead to systems that can transmit 40 audio channels within 33 ms.
