Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Electrons and holes were injected alternately from Au source electrode into tetracene in accordance with applying square wave AC voltage to the source electrode of tetracene field-effect transistor. Consequently, electroluminescence (EL) was generated at the interface between tetracene and source electrode owing to the recombination of electrons and holes. Electron injection rules this EL because the tetracene FET functions as a p-channel type element. The EL intensity was dependent on the frequency and amplitude of applied AC voltage, indicating that the amount of injected carriers and the frequency of carrier injection could be controlled by the AC applied voltage.
