Mobile transmission simulation of OFDM-FPU with LDPC code

Abstract(in English) The 800MHz-band FPU transmission system is often used for the road-race relay broadcasts. One of the major problems of the system is a transmission error caused by the fading of the mobile transmitting environments. We have been studying the forward error correction to improve the tolerance of the transmission [6]. We designed the concatenated code of LDPC and RS code, and investigated the appropriate interleave depth between the inner and outer code. We also simulated the error correction performance in mobile transmitting model which was modeled from the field experiment in actual road-race course. The properties of the designed forward error correction showed better performance than those of the current FPU system.
