Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) which uses a number of narrow band sub-carriers and multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) which combines OFDM and CDMA in a frequency domain have been attracting much attention for the future wireless communication system. So far, several literatures revealed that the channel capacity of MC-CDMA is degraded compared to that of OFDM because the capacity of MC-CDMA is severely degraded because of the inter-code interference (ICI) owing to the orthogonality distortion caused by frequency selective fading channel. Recently, many ICI cancellers have been proposed to mitigate the effect of ICI. We have previously derived the channel capacity expression for MC-CDMA with perfect ICI cancelling. In this paper, we evaluate the impact of residual ICI on the channel capacity of MC-CDMA.
