Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of the most effective methods for keeping up with web accessibility is to separate the cascading style sheets from the structured HTML documents on the web and design the web pages by the cascading style sheets. "Readability" means both visual legibility and reading comprehension. Line spacing has a great influence for the former. In this research, the authors made a subjective basic experiment for the structured HTML documents designed by the cascading style sheets and made a trial calculation of the legibility valuation under a fixed visual condition to study the relations between line spacing and web legibility.
