Phase Fluctuation by Transmitted Carrier Signal at Deep Space Ground Station System

Abstract(in English) Application of array antenna for deep space station attracts attentions as an effective method to construct equivalent large aperture antenna for higher frequency over X-band. It is suitable to build our future ground station with capability competitive with our current UDSC (Usuda Deep Space Center) 64m station and with additional new Ka-band capability. Among new capabilities to be developed for its realization is how to synthesize X-band uplink signal power precisely at spacecraft position far away from the Earth by more than several astronomical units. As an approach to this issue, we will present and discuss our experiments to track a phase fluctuation of X-band uplink carrier signal in UDSC.
