| Abstract(in English) | It's a common knowledge that formation flight technology is a suitable method to study dynamics of plasma in the Earth magnetospheric region. JAXA's future mission to explore the magnetotail has been discussed from the viewpoint of making the most use of formation flight advantage. SCOPE is the name of mission where 5 satellites working cooperatively with the satellite distance varied from 1km to 1000km. We have proposed S-band TDM/TDMA inter-satellite network system for SCOPE. SCOPE requires not only data exchange but also ranging operation and clock synchronization among satellites. A set of simulator was built to demonstrate important functions of our proposed system and to prove its sufficiency and suitability to formation flight missions including SCOPE. |
