A Study on Image Restoration for Multi-view Video

Abstract(in English) Image Based Rendering techniques have been studied so that 3D space information should be efficiently represented by multi-view video. We have studied free viewpoint video communication system which utilizes Image Based Rendering based on Light Field. We proposed heterogeneous sampling and hierarchical coding of rays to improve coding efficiency. The data format of the proposed method consists of Mixed Resolution Light Field. In this paper, we propose decoding method and view synthesis method of such Mixed Resolution Light Field. Especially, we propose an image restoration method for multi-view video for efficient view synthesis.
