Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a method for shape reconstruction from images. Our method integrates the results of photometric stereo and structure from motion. Photometric Stereo recovers normal vectors from images taken under illumination from different directions. Furthermore, structure from motion recovers 3D coordinates of the observed feature points and camera parameters from uncalibrated image sequence taken around an object. Then, shape is computed by minimizing the objective function which evaluate the difference between normal vectors from photometric stereo and ones from the 3D coordinates of the observed feature points. Experimental results show that our method can generate fine shape for simulation images.
