Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There has been increasing public concern about adverse health effect due to ultrafast electromagnetic pulse induced in the human body. Main source for this current is caused by electrostatic discharge current. However, limited researches have been conducted on the electrostatic discharge from a charged human body. This study successfully demonstrated an FDTD modeling for the electrostatic discharge from a charged human body. Special attention was paid to the modeling for air discharge through a hand-held metal piece from the human body. Air discharge was considered as voltage source which was derived on Rompe-Weizel formula. The human body is modeled as homogeneous tissue, which obeys 1-pole Debye media. Amplitude of computed waveform was larger than that of measured one, which gives us conservative dosimetry from the stand point of human safety.
