Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In vivo measurement of complex permittivity of human body tissue such as fingers, arms, and legs was studied by using waveguide penetration method as the method of measuring the complex permittivity of columnar material. Concretely, the external diameter of finger under test is regularized by a cylindrical applicator, and S-parameters are measured. The waveguide for 3.95-5.85GHz band was fabricated, and complex permittivity of the finger was measured. Equivalent complex permittivity of fingers are obtained by asuming the measurement part to be homogeneous in the calculation. The obtained results are compared with previously reported data.
