Abstract(in English) | Electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to microwave/quasi-millimeter waveband radio waves on low-frequency electronic equipments is mainly caused by nonlinear characteristics of their internal circuits. This is because the envelope of high-frequency signal is detected by the nonlinear response of circuit elements. In this report, to investigate characteristics of interference signal generated by the nonlinear response, interference signal levels depending on frequencies and field strengths of exposure signals are experimentally obtained. Firstly, six types of low frequency basic amplifiers consisting of a single transistor or an operational amplifier IC are fabricated. Secondly, to examine the detection level depending on field strength of 1GHz exposure signal, measurements of interference signal are carried out. The exposure signal is amplitude modulated at 1kHz. We have confirmed 1kHz interference signal level is proportional to the square of exposed electric field strength. Then, to obtain the detection level depending on frequency of exposure signal, EMI experiments using 1GHz-25GHz amplitude modulated signal are conducted. It is confirmed that interference signal levels of transistor amplifiers are rapidly decreased by slope of 17dB/oct. In addition, when the frequency of exposure signal is above 20GHz, interference signal level is below -90dBm. |
