| 抄録(和) | 本研究では視覚意識の決定過程に対して聴覚情報が与える影響を検討した。被験者が視覚刺激を観察している間に、課題に無関連の2種類の聴覚刺激が4-12秒の持続時間で交互に呈示された。プレ条件,ポスト条件では被験者は水平または垂直運動の知覚可能な多義図形の見えを報告した。両条件間の順応条件では,水平または垂直運動の視覚刺激が聴覚刺激の切り替わりと同期して呈示された。その結果,ポスト条件では聴覚刺激の切り替わりから視覚的意識の切り替わりが生じるまでの時間間隔が短くなった。さらに、弁別可能な聴覚刺激対と弁別不可能な聴覚刺激対を用いた実験群の間で,順応の効果には違いは見られなかった。また,視覚意識の内容に関して,順応条件で聴覚刺激と対となった運動方向に解釈されるというバイアスは生じなかった。視覚意識の決定過程には聴覚情報処理過程も関与しており、これは視覚意識に対する意図的制御によるものではなく、潜在的な視聴覚問相互作用を反映していると考えられる。 |
| 抄録(英) | In this research, we investigated the effects of auditory information on visual awareness for a bistable figure. Two task-irrelevant auditory stimuli were alternatively presented at the duration of 4-12 sec while subjects observed visual stimuli. In pre and post conditions, subjects reported the direction of motion of a bistable visual stimulus which can be perceived as a vertical or horizontal motion. In adaptation conditions which were conducted between pre and post conditions, a vertical or horizontal visual motion were alternatively presented in synchronization with the transition of the auditory stimuli. It was shown that the intervals from the transition of auditory stimuli to the switch of visual awareness were shorter in the post conditions. This adaptation effect was independent from the discriminability of two auditory stimuli and was observed even when the subjects did not aware the auditory transition. In addition, as for the substance of visual awareness, we did not find any bias toward the interpretation of the direction of motion which was paired with the auditory stimulus in the adaptation conditions. It was suggested that the auditory information implicitly affects the decision process of visual awareness. |
