Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are two kinds of intragroup conflict; one is "task conflict" which means differences in opinions or ideas, and the other is "relationship conflict" which means incompatibilities of values or personality among group members. The present study focused on the effect of time pressure and differences in members' influences towards problem-solving on perceptions of relationship conflict, as well as the relationships between the two factors and group performance. Results revealed that participants who had been assigned as a low-influential member reported higher scores on the level of relationship conflict. In addition, the two factors influenced on group performance. That is, groups which had varied in members' influences achieved higher performance in the time pressure condition, whereas in the no time pressure condition, groups which had not varied in members' influences achieved higher performance.
