Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The noise mixes with the photographic image when taking a picture with the image sensor. The fixed pattern noise and the random noise exist roughly separately in the noise. It decreases by improving the semiconductor processing technology though the former is generated by the difference between the sensitivity and the threshold of the photodiode and the transistor. It will be forecast that the random noise becomes predominant at the future. This research focused the photon shot noise that is a kind of the random noise. When taking a picture in the environment of a low illuminance, the photon shot noise becomes especially predominant. This photon shot noise is decreased by using the wavelet transform and adaptive filter. The proposed method showed that the image was able to be restored effectively compared with established method.
