Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ESVs (Earth Stations onboard Vessels) are expected to provide a broadband connection in the maritime communication by use of satellite systems. They transmit in the Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) networks in the 6GHz and/or 14GHz band (Earth-to-space); therefore they should avoid unacceptable interference to Fixed Service Receivers (FSRs) in these bands. ITU-R Recommendation SF. 1650-1 recommends the minimum distance from the coast, the values of which are 300km and 150km in the 6GHz and 14GHz bands, respectively. In this paper, we further evaluate the minimum distance taking into account our proposed method and various parameters of ESVs.
