Abstract(in English) In the "Action Plan for Spectrum Reallocation" developed by MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) of Japan, 3.4-4.2GHz/4.4-4.8GHz frequency bands are expected to be used for mobile communication systems such as IMT-Advanced and it is described that the sharing study between FSS (Fixed Satellite Services) and such mobile communication system is necessary. As one of possible measures to realize this sharing, the interference cancellation system by adaptive-array antenna technique is being developed. The basic performance of interference cancellation has been verified by using the proto-type system under a wired configuration. Field measurements fitting the system to actual earth station antennas are planned after making further improvement in the cancellation algorithm.
