Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose that functional brain imaging data can be applied to the assessment of language proficiency in foreign language learning. Functional brain imaging techniques can visualize how the human brain works during a cognitive task. Hence, by using such functional brain imaging data, we can assess whether a learner can properly comprehend a foreign language. Furthermore, such a database may enable us to apply the assessment of whether a new language education method has effective or not.
