Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, abnormal weather by global warming is reported. However, the mechanism is not yet elucidated. And it is reported that the rise of the temperature advances earlier than forecast. About 70% of the surface areas of the earth are the ocean, thermal capacity is very bigger than the atmosphere. Therefore it is important that we observe the ocean with good precision for predict the progress of the global warming precisely. However, The Ocean is wide, and deep. The underwater cannot do a measurement in the remote sensing technology by the satellite. The water temperature must measure the distribution from the sea surface to the bottom in the ocean measurement item. And it is demanded measurement precision of 0.001 degree Celsius by international framework. Therefore we depend on direct measurement in the ocean. However, the measurement by the ship is inefficient. Therefore we introduce a main observation item in the ocean and the measurement technique and examine whether we cannot apply advanced technology such as the optical technology to them. |
