| Abstract(in English) | The authors have developed a optical fiber cable for indoor wiring application in FTTH networks, with adequate strength and sufficient flexibility resulting in excellent reliability with thin diameter as 3mm. For the cable, bend loss insensitive fiber "PureAccess" is used, therefore the cable can withstand against rough treatment in daily life, even being knotted. The developed cable is SC-connecterized, and the SC-connectors have shatters on their end faces. Because of these shatters, the cable can be used without care for the breakage or pollution of the end faces. |
