Abstract(in English) In this work, we report on a compact and fast wavelength-tunable 10Gb/s transmitter for long haul transmission based on a tunable distributed amplification DFB (TDA-DFB) laser monolithically integrated with a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and electroabsorption modulator (EAM) for 10Gb/s WDM system. Fabricated tunable EML shows 50-GHz-spacing 8-channel tunability and low power penalty of <0.5dB after 80km standard single mode fiber transmission with averaged output power exceeding -0.5dBm at all 8 channels.
