Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A self-organizing map (SOM) is a topology-preserving projector between the input and the competitive layers. Recently, a new method of pattern generation based on the backward projection from the competitive layer to the input layer is proposed. As an advanced version of this model, an extension to moving image generation by means of sequential backward projection is proposed in this article. In order to confirm its effectiveness, some computer simulations are tried with simple images. As a result, it is found that the proposed method shows good performance.
