Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are some particular analyses, which are not implemented in a standard circuit simulator, for simulating analog RF circuits. In these analyses, circuits may be modeled under a certain assumption for efficiency of calculation. It is important for circuit designers to have the knowledge of theses algorithms for using them properly and efficiently. We have steady-state analysis as a basic analysis for analog RF circuits. It calculates periodic steady-state solutions of circuits fast and correctly. The standard techniques of steady-state analysis are the shooting method and the harmonic balance. In the shooting method, nonlinear circuits are formulated in the time domain. On the other, they are formulated in the frequency domain on the harmonic balance. The Newton's method is commonly used for solutions of the nonlinear equations in both methods. The types of circuits which can be simulated efficiently by using these analyses are different. The harmonic balance can efficiently simulate circuits that include elements whose parameters depend on frequencies, such as distributed constant circuits, although it is not appropriate to the strong nonlinear circuits having the steady solutions that many harmonics are necessary. In this paper, algorithms of these methods are explained. AC and noise analysis for nonlinear circuits and envelope analysis which extended these techniques are also described.
