Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In high-speed serial transmission, it is necessary to consider the pattern jitter due to intersymbol interference in transmission line. In this article, I theoretically analyzed the pattern jitter of the transmission line with exponentially decaying intersymbol interference, and showed that the pattern jitter can be represented as the slope of the straight lines between the origin point and a point on Cantor's dust in 2-dimensional plane. I derived the mean value, the variance, the nth-moment and the probability distribution of pattern jitter using these results. Moreover, it is revealed that pattern jitter can be treated as a "blue noise", i.e. the power spectrum of pattern jitter increases in direct proportion to the frequency.
