Abstract(in English) For application of superconducting detectors to mass spectrometry, through holes are required between an ion source at room temperature and a superconducting detector set at low temperature in order for particles to impinge the detectors. The room temperature infrared radiation causes an improper operation of the superconducting detectors. We fabricated a free-standing metal-mesh infrared blocking filter for the radiation shield at an AIST MEMS foundry. The filter consist of free-standing Cu film with a size of 12mm×5mm and a thickness of 500nm, which is reinforced by Si support. The Cu mesh has a hole array with a diameter of 2μm and a pitch of 3.5μm. The transmission of the room temperature blackbody radiation was only 1%, while the ion transmissoin was 20%, which is consistent with the geometrical structure of the hole array. The holding time of a ^3He cryostat and I-V characteristics of a superconducting tunnel junction were unaffected by the room temperature infrared radiation
