Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We suggest a method for depth estimation and visualization from single images where there are two vanishing points. In order to detect vanishing lines, PPHT(Progressive Probabilistic Hough Transform) which works well in complex scenes is used. For the decision of proper vanishing points from a number of intersections of vanishing lines, we use a line weighting technique where vanishing lines including longer line segments have bigger chances of being chosen as major ones. From four major vanishing lines and their intersection, a grayscale depth map is made.
