Abstract(in English) Image Based Rendering techniques have been studied so that 3D space information should be efficiently represented by multi-view video. In the most image based method, rays of light are estimated from multi-view video, and they represent 3D space. To transmit high quality 3D space, rays should be compressed efficiently, keeping high quality. This paper at first, presents redundancy in multi-view video signals and it proposes sampling method of rays. And it also proposes hierarchical coding method of rays, as they are multi-view video signals.
