Measurement of the Leakage of Electromagnetic Field Distribution over Two-dimensional Communication System

Abstract(in English) This paper presents the leakage of electromagnetic field distribution over a two-dimensional (2D) communication system, which consists of two parts : a sheet and a connector. Our aim is to investigate the feasibility of 2D communication system by analyzing the electromagnetic field distribution over a thin 2D sheet, which is composed of three layers : a solid conductive layer, a dielectric layer, and a mesh conductive layer. The leakage of electromagnetic field distribution is not just obtained through simulations by using the CST Microwave Studio, but also through measurements by using a small probe antenna. Both results of simulation and measurement are also presented and in-depth discussed in this paper. Furthermore, both results reveal the effect of evanescent wave on top of the 2D sheet and the effect of standing wave inside the 2D sheet.
