Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We consider collaborative (or cooperative) diversity and beamforming in the framework of ad hoc wireless sensor networks. Even though each sensor node in these networks is likely to be equipped with a single antenna, it is possible to achieve diversity or beamform by cooperating with the nearby sensor nodes. This presentation reviews our recent results on these topics. We also discuss challenging issues upon implementing these techniques in practical sensor networks. This presentation is based on the joint work with P. Mitran, H. V. Poor, and V. Tarokh.
