Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various kinds of sensor networks with different data types, regions and density will be deployed and disseminated in urban environments. In this work, we propose a multi-resolution query processing mechanism for such heterogeneous sensor networks. Our mechanism is executed on a distributed database system that consists of multiple database systems with different resolutions. Each database system behaves cooperatively and generates mesh-structured data by using spatial interpolation. Consequently, this mechanism can provide the integrated data with adequate resolution to the application. We implemented the prototype system and investigated the effectiveness of our method through some simulation results.
