Abstract(in English) We are researching an active tag system (c-tag : Communication-Tag) that utilizes a new bi-directional short-range wireless communication. We think this system is a new solution of ubiquitous network to realize a secure and safe society. In this report, using this c-tag system, we introduce a concept of tracking many pedestrians in a wide area simultaneously, and we evaluate the feasibility of this concept using a prototype of the c-tag system. Our pedestrian localization concept is unique, and we don't use a GPS system or triangulation to estimate pedestrian location.
