Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a basic design of new-generation optical access based on WDM technology in ADS, PON and SS. We adopt the WDM-direct which can achieve much more than 10Gbps access and QoS guarantee by setting up the lightpaths directly to each ONU. Our proposed architecture can provide not only conventional bandwidth sharing services but also bandwidth guarantee services which require huge bandwidth (e.g. several tens of Gbps~Tbps) and real-time properties in new-generation networks. We analyze and evaluate the capacity limit of our proposed architecture.
