Abstract(in English) Multi-site multi-unit recording method using multi-channel electrodes have been widely used for brain-machine interface system. Independent component analysis (ICA) is useful for sorting neuronal spikes recorded by this method because this analysis can separate neuronal spikes even if the spikes are overlapped. However the sufficient result would not be obtained if only this analysis was simply applied to the experimental data. We have proposed an efficient spike sorting method combined with continuous wavelet transform and complex-valued ICA. In this study, we show that our method has a better efficiency for sorting noisy data than the conventional method. In addition, we implement this method in a digital signal processor system. This system can process neuronal spike sorting within 2-milli-seconds in real-time.
