Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, we proposed a random transmit power control (TPC) and showed that it can increase the uplink capacity of DS-CDMA packet mobile communications by computer simulation. However, to the best of our knowledge, theoretical analysis of the effect of the random TPC to the throughput on DS-CDMA packet mobile communications has not been done yet. In this paper, we derive the numerical expression of the average packet error rate and system throughput. We also derive the optimal value of the fluctuation probability which is an important parameter of random TPC. The Monte Carlo numerical computation is also done to compare with the theoretically evaluated system throughput of DS-CDMA packet mobile communications using random TPC.
