Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Domain Name System (DNS), which manages the mappings between domain name and IP address, is essential for the operation of the Internet. However, the system has a number of issues, such as delay in name resolution, security, and so on. This results from distributed management of its mapping database, thus the name resolution process involves the query for the server and the response time is dominant for the delay in name resolution. Therefore, the DNS architecture should be modified for addressing these issues. In this paper, we propose the new name resolution mechanism, in which IPv6 address is mapped to encoded Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), without the current DNS.
