Abstract(in English) A polymer waveguide is considered as a promising wiring circuit in optical interconnection. The connection method of polymer waveguides to optical fibers or other waveguides, however, is one of the issues to be established for practical use. We have developed an optical connector using V-grooves specially designed for polymer waveguides. This report presents the connection characteristics and reliability results of the trial product.
