Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the report, we examined λ/4 type wave absorber using prriodically-arranged short carbon fibers whose length is λ/2 or λ/4 for two arbitrary frequencies. The absorber shows the absorption of around 20dB at the frequency band from 4 to 7GHz. At 4GHz, the absorber is 46% thinner than a traditional λ/4 type wave absorber. We assumed the the surface arranged short carbon fibers were a resisitive film with cabacity or inductivity, and calculated the absorption characteristics of the absorber. As a result, we obtained calculated values close to measured values.
