Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the requirement for the downsizing and the high qualification of the transmission system of the information makes integration of the circuits and systems. So far, we have tried to make integration of the new type analog PLL circuit. A voltage controlled oscillator which varies wide band oscillation frequency and suitable for the integration, was developed. In this paper, a VCO circuit made by 0.18μm process is developed. The results for the design and simulation are explained, and the oscillation characteristics of the VCO are measured in the frequency range of 579 to 1122MHz. As an application of a VCO for the communication device, PLL characteristics using the VCO are simulated. Since the range for the frequency capture is from 900MHz to 1GHz is confirmed, it will be suggested that the proposed circuit would be useful to some application for high frequency communication system.
