Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A novel wide-band linearization technique for Terrestrial Digital Broadcasting multi-channel power amplifiers (MCPA) is proposed. This technique is based upon a cuber predistortion technique, which can realize more compact amplifiers and lower power consumption. Firstly, to achieve wide-band compensation performance, detailed theoretical investigations using complex power series are carried out. To effectively improve MCPA's 3rd order distortion, a 3rd order distortion generator is designed to have a flat frequency response. Secondly, to examine applicability of the wide-band linearization technique, 2-tone characteristics are measured. The results show that the intermodulation distortion of the MCPA is improved by more than 10dB over a 200MHz range.
