A Spatial-Frequency Filter Design to Suppress Direct Wave for Bistatic Radar

Abstract(in English) Now, we are discussing a use of 2D filter in frequency-spatial frequency domain (f-k filter) in order to suppress direct wave in our bistatic radar system. In this paper, we will present two algorithms to design 2D filter that can suppress direct wave below -40dB and we call them Method1 and Method2. These filters use difference of apparent horizontal velocity between direct wave and reflection from a target. In Method1, a shape of 2D filter is defined from a location of a transmitter and a scanning area of a receiver. In Method2, time shift is applied in order to eliminate difference of arrival time in direct wave. Thus, f-k spectrum of the direct wave is concentrated to same region, and same filter can be applied in every incident angle. Moreover, reconstructed images applied these filters are shown. In those images, artifact caused by the direct wave is suppressed.
