Abstract(in English) It can be thought that the mobile reception environment for Digital terrestrial broadcasting is a multiple Doppler shift environment where each arriving wave has a different level, a different delay time and a different Doppler shift. Directional diversity techniques that separate arriving wave independently using directional antennas, compensate their Doppler shifts and implement diversity combining for each signal are effective in such environments. In this report, we propose a directional diversity technique using the M(Multiple)-MSN(Maximum Signal-to-Noise ratio) adaptive array algorithm where the MSN as a kind of adaptive array algorithm is applied to the multi beam antenna. We show by computer simulation that the proposed method is not dependent on the Doppler frequency for HDTV digital terrestrial broadcasting.
