Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Mobile multimedia applications are expected to attract an increasing number of users in the future. To support these applications, the demand for high-speed data transmission and high-quality service are rapidly growing. In order to achieve it, it has been proposed Hybrid SMD (symbol mapping diversity) technique which is implemented for cross-layer design. However, Hybrid SMD only works efficiently under wired communication. In this paper, in order to improve the throughput performance, we propose a novel Dynamic SMD technique and a channel estimation method for Dynamic SMD technique.
