Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report assesses user-level QoS (subjective quality) in a multidimension way by the SD method in a multipoint-to-multipoint multimedia application over IP networks. We suppose an application where task performance is important and conduct an experiment with three participants for simplicity. Users judge the overall quality of the audio-video transmission in an integrated fashion based on many factors. Therefore, it is necessary to assess the user-level QoS in a multidimensional way. In addition, the overall user-level QoS can be affected by the individual one to each participant. Thus, we investigate relations between the quality of the communication with every other participant and the overall quality of the communication. We also find key factors in the quality judgement of the application by means of QoS mapping between the overall or individual user-level QoS and principal components of the individual ones.
