A Study on IPTV Service Navigation System using SIP Presence for Mobile Terminal

Abstract(in English) Increasing penetration of wireless broadband and the rapid spread of mobile multimedia device may lead progress of IPTV for mobile terminals. A Service Navigation System which tells each mobile terminal a list of programs at connected network and its access information such as multicast address should be provided, because a set of programs might be configured independently for each access networks, where multicast address may differ. In this paper, a program navigation method using features of SIP Presence is proposed, and its function is examined. The proposed method enables quick updating of program information and reduces traffic of distributing program information by the use of SIP presence.
